Fears are growing for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star Harry Redknapp as his fellow campmates are ‘forcing’ him to eat.
The 69-year-old has become a firm favourite with viewers since first entering the jungle in November.
But the former football manager has lost around half a stone, reports the Mirror.co.uk, as he often refuses to eat the meals won in Bushtucker Trials.
Oldham actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who become the second celebrity to leave the jungle on Sunday, has spoken about Harry’s reluctance to eat the meals cooked in camp.
Speaking to the Mirror, Malique said: “Harry is tired. A lot of the meat, because Harry has lost his sense of smell, all the meat just looks absolutely disgusting to him.
“There have been days where we have to pretty much force him to eat. He had a thing about the emu, he didnt like the emu, then he saw a crocodile’s head.
“We will get the meat and cook it and make the vegetables really nice and then sometimes he will say ‘I can’t eat the meat’.
“It depends what it is. He is a fussy eater so we try to make it as nice as possible.”
Harry is currently favourite to win the show, entertaining his fellow celeb’s and viewers at home with hilarious anecdotes, quick-whited jokes and stories of marital bliss with wife Sandra.
Coronation Street actress Sair Khan, who became the third to be booted off the ITV show, has also tipped Harry as the winner.
Following her exit, she told Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly: “I feel like Harry might win, I will stick with him, I also would like John to win and Emily to win.”
Hollyoaks star Malique also spoke about Harry following his exit, describing him as a “geezer”.
He said: “Everyone has been so nice to me. Everyone has kept everyone going. I think Harry [Redknapp] especially, he’s a joker.
“I don’t know what it was. It’s just Harry, innit, because he’s such a lad, such a geezer, I find myself a bit of a geezer as well, maybe it was just that. It’s the stories that he tells as well. The banter.”
In Monday night’s show, Harry was seen taking part in Dingo Dollar challenge, Bug Busters alongside Emily Atack.
The duo returned to camp with a cinema tray full of popcorn, ice cream and fizzy drinks for the camp.
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV at 9pm.
