Cleveland woman with Alzheimer's disease reported missing from home

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Authorities are searching for an 85-year-old woman who has Alzheimer’s disease and went missing Saturday from her Cleveland home.

Harriet Banks has not been seen since she drove away from her home on Empire Avenue near St. Clair Avenue, police said. She is considered endangered.

She was last seen driving a purple Kia Forte with an Ohio vanity license plate that reads HPRUPLE.

Banks is 5-foot-1 and 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and gray hair.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911, police said.
